Lantern Award Bestowed on Dr. David R. King
The Knights of Columbus for the Jurisdiction of Massachusetts proudly bestowed its highest public honor, the 2014 Lantern Award, on Dr. David R. King of Massachusetts General Hospital on the Occasion of the Fifty-eighth Annual Lantern Award Presentation at this the One Hundred Fourteenth Patriots Day Dinner.
Dr. David King was born and raised in Woonsocket, RI. He is the only son of Nancy and Richard King. He attended Mount Saint Charles Academy and graduated in 1991. Dr. King earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Tamp in 1995, and his Medical Doctorate from the University of Miami in 2000. His surgical residency training was done primarily at Jackson Hospital/University of Miami in Miami, FL from 2000-2005. He completed advanced fellowship in trauma surgey and surgical critical care at the Ryder Trauma Center in Miami, FL in 2007.
